Canada was very prominent in the great silver and silverplate souvenir spoon collecting era, which swept around the world.  The quality of workmanship on these spoons is excellent and the great majority of Canadian spoons feature enameling which adds greatly to the spoon's charm.

A large percentage of Canadian silver and silverplate spoons feature the maple leaf in many unique styles.  Canadian manufacturers also created many spoons in the "American style".

Another variety of Canadian silver plate spoons also feature coats-of-arms of either the provinces or of the nation of Canada.  To many souvenir spoon collectors, the Canadian coat-of-arms appears to be a jumble of meaningless symbols.  This is due to the Arms being designed without any consultation or research into existing standards of heraldry.

Collectible souvenir spoons are produced in a variety of different sizes.  In the USA, most collectible souvenir spoons are demitasse size souvenir spoons (3.5" - 4.5"), the 5 o'clock tea size souvenir spoons (5.0" - 5.5") or the tea size souvenir spoons (5.5" - 6.0").

Collectible souvenir spoons from other countries vary in length from 2" - an amazing 14" in length!  Most European souvenir spoons are demitasse size (also called demi spoons), and many Asian spoons are also demitasse in size.

Figural collectible spoons are widely collected and are among the most popular souvenir spoons available.

These vintage silver and silverplate souvenir collectible demitasse spoons are the perfect special silverware or flatware piece to use as tea spoons, cappuccino spoons, espresso spoons, flavored coffee spoons and even hot chocolate spoons!  Set a unique and memorable dessert table with each guest having a unique souvenir spoon.

Here's a little-known fact about rock star Meat Loaf - Michael Lee Aday: He collects these charming little souvenir spoons, too.
