Elegant vintage TUSCAN fine bone china gently scalloped edge teacup (tea cup) and saucer set with large pinks roses, blue and yellow florals with gold metallic trim around the lip, foot, handle and center of the teacup, and gently scalloped edge along the matching saucer.
The footed teacup measures 3-3/4": in diameter, 5" from lip of cup to outside edge of handle and stands 2-1/4" tall. The matching scalloped and gold-trimmed edge saucer with center floral spray measures 5-1/2" in diameter. (A very tiny chip on the underside of the edge is noted. No damage to the teacup.)
Fine post-war English bone china footed and scalloped teacup (tea cup) and saucer set made by Tuscan China (R.H. & S.L. Plant Ltd) that produced fine china between 1898-1970 at the Tuscan Works, Longton, England. The company was later acquired by the Wedgwood group in the early 1970's.
The pattern name is unknown, but the stock number is 14577 and from the backstamp, we date this fine bone china teacup and saucer set from the period 1947.
