Vintage and uncommon A. Cohen & Sons silverplate footed three piece CROSBY tea set with rope molding details, decorative paw feet and large floral finials which includes a footed silverplate coffle pot or teapot, a footed covered sugar bowl and footed creamer cream pitcher.  (c 1950s)

The vintage silverplate coffle pot or teapot is in very good condition, like-new on the inside, no dings, dents or dimples on the body, handle or spout, and only a small amount of silverplate wear on the handle and base of the spout.  Internal strainer.  There are a few light scratches / scrapes along one side of the body as shown in the photo.  Uncommon rope molding along the body.  Rope molding is a type of gadroon border made up of reeds and flutes slightly spiraled.  This vintage silverplate teapot or coffee pot measures 9-1/2" high to the top of the floral finial, 5" in diameter, 10" from the outside edge of the handle to the tip of the spout and weighs 2 pounds 4.5 ounces.

The matching covered footed sugar bowl is in mint condition, with no dings, dents or dimples and no scratches to the high polished silver finish.  The inside of this bowl is exceptionally clean; as though it were never used.  Two delicate applied handles, the rope molding, plain lid with finial and four paw feet.  The outside edges of the handles and the four feet have silver wear.  This silver footed covered sugar bowl measures 4-1/2" tall to the top of the floral finial, 3-1/2" in diameter, 5-1/2" between the handles and weighs 3.2 ounces.

The matching silverplate creamer cream pitcher is in good condition, with no dings, dents or dimples and no scratches to the high polished silver finish.  The inside of this creamer pitcher is exceptionally clean and bright, as though it were never used and also has the rope molding along the body.  The delicate applied handle and plain creamer spout make this plump little silver cream pitcher so cute.  Like the sugar bowl, the cream pitcher has silver wear on the handle and on the paw feet.  There is an unusual "crack" to the left of the pitcher spout, which does extend into the interior, but is smooth both inside and out.  This vintage silver creamer pitcher measures 3-1/4" high at the top of the handle, 2-7/8" high at the lip of the pitcher, is 3-1/2" in diameter, 4-1/4" from the outside edge of the handle to the outside tip of the spout and weighs 5.5 ounces.

Each piece of this vintage silverplate tea set is touchmarked CROSBY - which was a trademark of A. Cohen & Sons, , their logo (a shield and a lion) and SILVERPLATED
