(c. 1894-1962) This EPNS (electroplated nickel silver) gravy sauce boat is in near excellent condition with no silver plate wear or loss, no unsightly scratches, no dings. A small blemish is noted on the inside bottom of this gravy sauce boat.
Elegant yet simple mid-century modern shape with applied handle with a gently stepped-up base and incised with four rings surrounding the upper edge.
The Knickerbocker Silver Co. of Port Jervis, NY, was in business from 1894 - 1962 and was the successors to the J.A. Babcock in1894, which was succeeded by the Crescent Silverware Manufacturing Company in 1962.
This vintage silver plate gravy sauce boat by Knickerbocker measures 8-1/2" from the outside handle edge to the outside edge of the pouring lip, 4" wide, 3-3/4" tall and weighs 9.5. Touchmarked on the base with The Knickerbocker Silver Co. logo, EPNS, C5032.
