Nice vintage glass dinner bell with deep diamond and vertical cuts with an unusual black glass bead clapper suspended from the inside of the bell with what appears to be telephone wire! This vintage glass dinner bell is quite heavy and is in very good condition with no chips or cracks.
There does seem to have been something perhaps glued to the top of the handle, as it feels rough and is discolored black, though it is not sticky. We believe that the black glass bead clapper, which is suspended from the inside of the bell on a black and red "telephone" wire is original, as we have previously sold another with the same type of fastener.
This nice vintage glass dinner bell with deep diamond and vertical cuts measures 7" tall, is 3-1/2" in diameter and weighs 11.1 ounces. Unmarked as to maker.
