Outstanding European silver plate spoon with a high polish silver finish hallmarked with a G over a D and 90. This 6" long spoon is in near mint condition with only slight abrasions to the silver on the heel from storage.
Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to ascertain the silversmith.
Nary a polishing scratch. Just a gorgeous silver patina in its simplicity of design and weight - very balanced. The silver spoon handle is long and tapered with no ornamentation and never monogrammed.
The hallmark on the back of the handle is a D over a G within a square and 90 in a separate square. This plated silver spoon measures 6" in length with a more rounded bowl than a traditional teaspoon and weighs 1.1 ounces.
