Near mint condition antique Victorian silver JAMES W. TUFTS Quadruple Silverplate Footed Creamer and Sugar Bowl features some the the finest silversmith work from James W. Tufts! (c. 1880's) Beautiful semi-satin convex lobe design along the neck, made popular by Tiffany!
On the fuller part of the silverplate creamer, brilliant bright cut hand-tooled quadruple silverplate work featuring flowers and leaves. Overall, the quadruple silverplate has obtained a soft aged patina with no silver plate loss and only one tiny 1/32" cut on the front.
Absolutely mint silverplate interior to this quadruple silverplate creamer, polished to a mirror finish with just a hint of gold wash remaining. This silverplate creamer was either rarely or never used. No stains or scratches noted. Very minor silverplate wear marks on the outside of the handle consistent with a rarely used silverplate creamer of this vintage.
This antique Victorian JAMES W. TUFTS quadruple silverplate creamer measures 5" high, 4" wide, 5" from tip of handle to the tip of the creamer spout and weighs 11 ounces.
The matching mint silverplate interior to this quadruple silverplate sugar bowl, polished to a mirror finish with just a hint of gold wash remaining.
