Soft hand-painted pastel colors depicting flowering cherry trees under glaze surround this lovely vintage hand-made stoneware ceramic pottery studio art vase with a Japanese inspired style and motif. Almost watercolor in style, this vintage 1985 signed studio art vase uses variegated colors of pastel pinks, turquoise and blues. The pleasing shape of this hand-thrown pottery vase is sure to compliment any decor. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, repairs or other damage to note.
We do note two tiny chigger bites on the lip of this vase (see photo) and one can feel some tiny flea bites on the body, though they do not detract from the beauty or function of this vase. Fully glazed on the inside, the exterior of the vase and signed on the base with "Mantim 85". It looks as if something was blacked out in paint on the bottom of the vase. Best we can make out is "292" and a "3".
