We've tested the metal, and as a magnet is MOST attracted this (like bees to a beautiful flower), the metal is steel and not cast iron. The color of the steel has aged over the years, and although the photographs give the steel a golden color, it is in fact a dark gray. The finish is "rough" as this is cast steel vs. rolled steel.
The stained glass within this collectible bell is in superb condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing. This sunny little bell will great you each morning and put a smile on your face by placing it near a window where the sunlight can stream through the brilliant glass colors! Just like a suncatcher!
The bell clapper gives this tiny bell high pitched sound when rung, and it's no "wilting flower" as to sound!
