Gorgeous antique Victorian silver plate repousse berry spoon by S.G, England, EPNS (electroplated nickel silver) with a quality rating of A1. Fine English silverplate flatware.
This antique Victorian silverplate repousse berry spoon is in extremely good condition, with deep repousse work in the spoon bowl depicting pineapples, pears, peaches, berries, grapes and an assortment of leaves and oak leaves). Decorative handle has a shell motif on the tip (both front and back) and has no monogram. The silverplate finish is bright and shiny.
There are two spots of silverplate wear noted near the tip of the spoon handle (see photo), but there is no silverplate loss or wear noted anywhere else. No heal wear, and no scratches in the silverplate finish other than light surface polishing marks, expected from a piece of this age.
This 8.75" silver berry spoon has a 3" x 2" bowl, weighs 3.7 ounces and is touchmarked on the back of the spoon handle with "S.G" within a box, "ENGLAND", "EPNS" and the quality standard "A1".
