Pretty GORHAM SILVER butter knife and sugar spoon in the ever popular SHELL pattern in 18/8 stainless.
Gorham has been an American tradition since 1831! The fascinating and richly varied Gorham legacy began in 1831 when Jabez Gorham began making coin silver spoons to respond to demand throughout New England. His commitment to uncompromising quality and old world craftsmanship is evident in each and every work crafted by Gorham for more than 170 years. Many of these works are national treasures. Others command very high prices in today's collecting world.
Excellent condition, both Gorham SHELL flatware pieces, the silver colored stainless steel butter knife and the silver colored stainless steel sugar spoon, feature the ornate SHELL pattern on the tip of each handle on both sides.
The butter knife measures 7" in length and the sugar spoon, with a scalloped edge measures 6" in length. The GORHAM touchmark is located on the back of the sugar spoon bowl, and on one side of the butter knife blade.
