Lovely re-silvered antique AMERICAN SILVER PLATE CO. triple silverplate creamer pitcher and sugar bowl set. The antique silverplate creamer pitcher has remnants of gold plating to the inside, and both the silverplate creamer and open sugar bowl have a beautifully restored silver finish to the outsides with elegant leaf engraving!
The antique silver plate sugar bowl is in very good condition, with no dents, dimples or other damage to note. The two applied handles are very sturdy, and around the neck of this silver sugar bowl is an elegant design of flowers and vines. The outside of the silver sugar bowl body has a deeply engraved leaf design on both sides. The inside of the sugar bowl does show some light discoloration and use marks in the base as expected. The handles have a few very minor areas of roughness along the outside edge, as does the top of the sugar bowl. This American Silver Plate sugar bowl measures 6.5" between the handles, 4" diameter, nearly 4" tall and weighs 9.4 ounces.
The matching antique silver creamer is also in very good condition, with no noticeable dimples, dents or other damage. We did find a slight indentation within the engraved leaf design that is nearly impossible to notice unless seen from the inside. The applied handle is very sturdy, and around the neck of this silver creamer is an elegant design of flowers and vines. The outside of this silver creamer body has a deeply engraved leaf design on both sides. The inside of this silver creamer still retains a light gold plating. The bottom inside of this creamer has silverplate wear noted and shown and the photos, together with light discoloration along the inside bottom. This antique silver creamer pitcher measures 5.5" from the tip of the creamer pitcher spout to the tip of the handle, is 4" in diameter around the body, stands 3.75" and weighs 8.6 ounces.
Both silverplate holloware items have been re-plated in silver on the outside since their manufacture. Touchmarked on the bottoms of both the antique silver sugar bowl and creamer pitcher with AMERICAN SILVER PLATE CO., TRIPLE, and the pattern number "500".
