A handsome vintage silver plate venison dish with well-defined gadroon rim with molded gravy tree and well. Many people know this as a meat platter with well, or a meat dish ,or a meat carving tray and even a meat serving platter and, as the design resembles, a "tree of life". Today, it would make a stunning turkey serving platter for the holidays!
This meat platter with well measures 16.5" x 12" and stands 1.5" tall, weighs approximately 1 pound, 14 ounces and is in extremely good condition. No siverplate wear or loss noted, and only a few very light surface marks on the front. Bright silver finish! Touchmarked on the back of the tray or platter with the Wm. Rogers logo and the pattern number 810.
