Vintage crystal clear depression glass divided relish dish tray with the original silver chrome holder basket featuring a hammered handle and pierced basket holder with a crystal clear Depression-era cut glass relish dish divided into 3 sections, which has a sunburst or starburst pattern on the bottom.
The attached three-section glass dish is not removable from the silver basket. The handle features a "hammered" finish and can swing down to either side. These triple relish baskets are just so useful! Can be used as a condiment server for mustard, catsup and relish, too, or for different varieties of olives. Could even be used to serve nuts! Relishes were very popular for seasoning food in the 19th century.
Very good condition. The glass relish insert does not have any chips, cracks or hairlines. The silver-colored chrome is bright and has no damage. One tiny dark spot is noted just under the handle, and it is a bit rough. This vintage chrome and glass relish server tray basket measures 5" in diameter, 1.5" tall at the rim and 4.5" tall at the top of the basket handle and weighs 14.6 ounces. It is unmarked.
