Newly re-silvered and restored to its original condition, this antique ROGERS quadruple silverplate tea set is near perfect, with a thick coating of new silver, beautiful hand-tooled design on the fronts, ornate handles and decorative finials. This silver plate tea set includes a teapot, covered sugar bowl, creamer pitcher and waste bowl.

The antique quadruple silverplate teapot is in excellent condition with no dents, dimples or other damage to note.  Satin finish on the inside, which is very clean.  The outside is high polished silver finish. The ornate teapot spout features an acanthus leaves design.  The ornate handle also has the acanthus leaf design, together with a dotted lattice.  An ornate finial tops off the lid of this teapot.  The teapot measures 7" to the finial, 8.25" from the tip of the teapot spout to the handle, approximately 5" in diameter and weighs 14.5 ounces.

The matching quadruple silverplate covered sugar bowl with two ornately decorated handles is also in excellent condition, again, with the satin finish on the inside, the outside is high polished silver finish, decorative finial on the lid and the inside is exceptionally clean.  The covered sugar bowl measures 5" to the top of the finial, 5" between the handles, approximately 4" in diameter and weighs 7.3 ounces.

The matching quadruple silverplate creamer pitcher is also in excellent condition, and measures 3" tall, 5" from the tip of the creamer spout to the tip of the handle, is 3.5" in diameter and weighs 5.6 ounces.  The tip of the creamer pitcher spout features four-leaf flower design - very ornate - together with an acanthus leaf design handle!

And finally, the matching quadruple silverplate waste bowl, with two ornate acanthus leaf handles, excellent conation and very clean on the inside.  The waste bowl measures 5.5" between the handles, stands 3.25" tall, 3.75" in diameter and weighs 5.6 ounces.

The touchmark on the bases of these holloware tea pieces indicates that this antique quadruple silverplate tea set was manufactured by Wm. A. Rogers, but associated with the Simeon L. & Geo. H. Rogers Co., who Rogers purchased in 1918.  Each piece in this set is marked with the pattern number 738.  You can read more about the history of Wm. A. Rogers and Simeon L. Geo. H. Rogers Co. at our Silver Manufacturers pages.
