Stunning set of Christofle silver condiment mustard spoons in the Chinon pattern, monogrammed with the letter B.
Founded in 1839 in Paris, France, by Charles Christofle, Christofle was the founder of the plated and gilded silverware industry of France. Christofle bought up all the French electroplate patents, then started his own silver and gold plating industry. In later years, Christofle branched out into sterling silver and gold wares. The workmanship of the Christofle firm has always been outstanding. Christofle is still considered one of the world leaders in silver designs.
Each French silver condiment spoon measures 3.625" long, weighs .3 ounces and is monogrammed on the front with the letter "B". No heel wear or silver loss. So tiny, they were near impossible to photograph. One of these silver spoons has two tiny nicks on the edge of the rim of the bowl. The other condiment mustard spoon is in mint condition. Both are touchmarked on the back with CHRISTOFLE and the Christofle logo touchmark.
